The Southern Forest Products Association is a 501(c) (6) non-profit organization and sponsors the biennial Forest Products Machinery & Equipment Exposition (FPMEE). The FPMEE is managed completely by SFPA staff who conduct themselves professionally with honesty and integrity. SFPA carefully monitors business transactions, opportunities, and agreements by asking: 1. Is this legal? 2. Are essential facts transparent, and sufficiently disclosed? 3. How does the action made represent my personal character, SFPA's reputation, and the wood products industry? FPMEE conducts all business openly, fairly, and without discrimination.
The Southern Forest Products Association (SFPA) represents lumber industry pioneers and leaders of sustainability. Our industry is rooted in providing forest products for today without compromising the ability to provide the same resource for future generations. SFPA’s FPMEE Exposition Director is a CEM and Certified Forester #927 through the Society of American Foresters (SAF). He has first-hand experience in reforestation; securing future generations with all the benefits that working forests provide (clean air, clean water, wildlife habitat, wood products, etc.) As an event, we are committed to minimizing impacts on the environment and continually seek opportunities to adopt new technologies which minimize environmental impacts.
